Happy International Translation Day!

Happy International Translation Day!

We’d like to wish everyone a happy International Translation Day. International Translation Day has been celebrated since 1953 when FIT (the International Federation of Translators) decided there should be a day set aside to show solidarity of the worldwide translation community in an effort to promote the translation profession in different countries around the world.

This special occasion is marked by the feast of St. Jerome – the patron saint of translation. St. Jerome, a highly intelligent and well-educated man, who was responsible for translation of the Old and New Testament, called the Vulgate or common version of the Bible.

So please join us in this opportunity to display pride in a profession that is becoming increasingly essential in the era of progressive global trade and communication.
