Winners from the 2018 BHBIA BOBI Awards for Healthcare Research

London, 24th of May 2018 - On Monday 14th of May, GlobaLexicon attended and sponsored the BHBIA BOBI Awards at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

Several awards stood out on the night and we were happy to have our clients included:

BOBI Award for Best Business Impact
Winner: Janssen & Research Partnership

A close client/agency partnership was key to the successful implementation of a mindset-centred segmentation across Janssen’s haematology franchise. The market research insights made account managers question how much they knew their customers and drove the creation of new sales aids and marketing materials.

The judges said: “This entry illustrated how complex methodology can lead to delivery of easily digestible results that inform strategy in a simple and effective manner.

BOBI Award for Best Patient-Centric Approach
Winner: Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership & M3 Global Research

Working together, Surrey Heartlands NHS Sustainable Transformation Partnership (STP) and M3 Global Research have started what could truly be considered transformational in terms of culture change within the NHS. For the first time, their formal approach to patient engagement and patient/ stakeholder co-design for the cardiovascular disease workstream has resulted in patient-led priorities and improvements.

The judges commented: “This entry focused on engaging with the NHS – in an area where there was an important rationale for change.

BOBI Award for Best Customer Insight
Winner: Roche Diagnostics & Brains and Cheek

Working with Brains and Cheek, the team designed a ‘mock-MDT (multidisciplinary team) meeting’ approach using modular patient case studies to understand decision-making by observing clinician and lab-manager interactions. This showed that clinicians play a more critical role in deciding tumour marker use than lab-managers.

The judges’ verdict: “This submission scored highly on all parameters; it stood out due to the clear impact the research had on significantly re-routing both customer targeting and marketing messages.“

BOBI Award for Excellence in Business Analytics
Winner: Teva UK & QlickiT

Teva UK undertook a project to demonstrate potential cost efficiencies available to the NHS through the optimal uptake of their Products. In partnership with QlickiT, Teva UK built an online application in Qlikview which used publicly available Prescribing data to show the cost savings available to each CCG if they were to adopt their range of products.

The judges commented: “The entrants have come up with an effective and repeatable way of handing large datasets that facilitates effective communication with their customers.”
